08.00-11.00: for making appointments (both at the surgery and by phone), advice, results or questions to the assistant
08.00-10.30: requesting visits
13:30-14:00: telephone consultation hours
Our practice assistants are trained in 'triage'. They can make a good assessment of your symptoms with specific questions. They can also answer many questions independently, or give advice over the phone. All advice is also consulted with the GP. It is best if the patient calls themselves, so that specific questions can be asked about how the patient is feeling. If you wish, or if they think an appointment at the GP's surgery is needed, they can assess with you the time frame in which this is needed. She has a duty of confidentiality.
Please call the assistant in good time if a previously booked appointment cannot take place. If you do not cancel your appointment at least 24 hours in advance, you will be charged for the planned treatment time.
