Have you been outside? Check for ticks
Ticks are very small and look like spiders. They live mostly in bushes and grass. A tick in your skin gives you a small chance of catching a disease.
If you have been outside, check for ticks:
- Check your whole body. Don't forget your armpits, groin, hollows of the knees and buttock.
- In children, also look carefully on the head and behind the ears. And on the neck where the hairs start.
Do you or your child have a tick?
- Then remove the tick immediately with pointed tweezers.
- Then clean the wound with alcohol.
- Write down the date and location of the body.
- Check the rest of your body to see if you have any more ticks.
