Doctor's assistant GP practice De Drecht

You are at your best when you can help others - exactly what you do as a doctor's assistant. In this versatile and responsible role, you have a lot of personal contact and are much more than just the person who answers the phone. You bring calm when it is busy, keep an overview when there is a lot going on at once and ask exactly the right questions to quickly find out what is needed. You make sure that every patient gets the care he or she needs and you are the person your colleagues can always count on.

Your duties

The phone rings. You answer, listen attentively and ask just the right questions to quickly find out what is needed. Whether it's making an appointment, giving advice, or a call-back request from the GP: you take care of it. You ensure that consultation hours are filled efficiently and keep all files up-to-date, so that waiting times are limited and your colleagues always have the right information to enter the consultation hour.

Between phone calls, you process repeat prescriptions, referrals and e-consultations. During your own surgery hours, you perform various medical procedures: you measure blood pressure, prick blood, give injections and perform urine tests. You help with vaccinations and assist the GP with minor surgery.

With this mix of administrative and medical tasks, you and your fellow assistants will ensure that the practice runs smoothly every day and patients get the care they need.

Your new workplace

Huisartsenpraktijk De Drecht is located in health centre De Waterlinie in Uithoorn. We work with GPs, practice support staff for Somatics and mental health, and doctors' assistants. De Drecht consists of four practising family doctors. The number of colleagues together is around 25. Together, we ensure that patients are helped quickly and personally.

At our practice, commitment is key. Our colleagues are enthusiastic and driven in the work they do, which is at the heart of our working method and atmosphere. This passion for care and cooperation makes our practice a place where both patients and staff feel at home.

Your qualities

  • You are a qualified physician assistant.
  • As a person, you possess a high degree of commitment and empathy, making people quickly feel at ease with you.
  • You work accurately and make sure everything around the patient is well organised, from appointments to administration.
  • You like variety and jump easily between different tasks without losing track of things.
  • Collaboration comes naturally to you, but you are also independent and like to take responsibility.

Salary and more

  • A salary that grows with your experience (CAO GP Care, scale 4-5: €2,574.00 - 3,975.00 based on 38 hours).
  • You will work 32 hours per week. Should you wish to work more, we will be happy to think with you. And us? We can't wait to welcome you!
  • First a one-year contract to learn the practice, then hopefully a permanent place in the team.
  • Boring - no way! This position challenges you every day, working with a team at the forefront of primary care.
  • Keep growing! We offer every opportunity for developments and training that will make you even better.
  • Pension accrual with Pensioenfonds Zorg en Welzijn and extras such as holiday pay, a 13th month and travel allowance complete the picture - and, of course, 25 holidays (for a 38-hour working week) to recharge.
