Hostess GP practice De Drecht

It is Monday morning, the coffee is ready and the first patients walk in. Some are nervous, others are in a hurry, and a few just need a little chat to start their day off right. You stand there as a hostess with a smile and make everyone feel welcome. Meanwhile, you see where you can lend a hand to colleagues and assist with minor medical procedures. This way, you support the team in a practical way and contribute to a smooth and well-organised course of the surgery.

Your duties

As a hostess, you are the first face our patients see. You welcome everyone, put people at ease and make sure the waiting room remains tidy and pleasant. With a listening ear, a kind word or a joke, you make patients feel seen and at ease. You keep an eye on the waiting room. You identify bottlenecks, report emergencies and make sure the room looks neat and pleasant.

You will also support the doctors' assistants with administrative tasks, such as registering and deregistering patients and processing (digital) mail and e-mails. Where necessary, you will help with simple medical procedures, such as checking urine or preparing materials.

In this role, you will combine hospitality with practical support in healthcare. You will immediately see the effect of your work on patients and colleagues, be given space to act independently within clear frameworks, learn new skills and work together in a committed and collegial team that appreciates your commitment.

Your new workplace

Huisartsenpraktijk De Drecht is located in health centre De Waterlinie in Uithoorn. We employ GPs, practice support staff for Somatic and mental healthcare, and doctors' assistants. De Drecht consists of four practising family doctors. Together with some 25 colleagues, we ensure that patients are helped quickly and personally.

At our practice, commitment and quality of care are key. Our colleagues are enthusiastic and driven in the work they do, which is at the heart of our working method and atmosphere. The passion for care and cooperation makes De Drecht a place where both patients and staff feel at home.

Boring - no way! Every day this position challenges you, working with a team at the forefront of primary care.

Your qualities

  • You have good digital skills (such as e-mail and general computer use) and handle patient data carefully and confidentially.
  • You help patients kindly and clearly, listen well and sense what someone needs - also in English if needed.
  • You have an affinity with primary care and do not mind doing minor operations, such as checking urine; moreover, this position can be a stepping stone towards physician assistant or a great opportunity to re-enter.
  • You have experience in guiding and helping people and can cope well with emotions and situations associated with patient care.
  • You work independently and take responsibility for your tasks, but also actively seek cooperation with colleagues and the team.

Salary and more

At Huisartsenpraktijk De Drecht, you get the space to do what you are good at and enjoy, with attractive conditions that suit you:

  • A salary that grows with your experience (CAO GP Care, scale 3: € 2,387.00 - 3,243.00 based on 38 hours)
  • You will work 12 hours, on Monday, Thursday and Friday mornings from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
  • First a one-year contract to get to know the practice. After that, hopefully a permanent spot in the team.
  • Pension accrual with Pensioenfonds Zorg en Welzijn and extras such as holiday pay, a 13th month and travel allowance complete the picture - and of course 25 holidays (for a 38-hour working week) to recharge your batteries
